Founded in 1866, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Tongji Medical College Affiliated Union Hospital is the oldest comprehensive teaching hospital in Wuhan, directly administered by the National Health Commission of China. It integrates medical care, teaching, and research, and serves as the designated institution for the Hubei Provincial Emergency Center and the Hubei Provincial Telemedicine Center.
