Sun Yat-sen University Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center

The Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University is a national key discipline in ophthalmology and the sole national key laboratory for ophthalmology in China. Located near Guangzhou's new urban axis, it is situated on the south side of Jinsui Road and the west side of Huasui Road, occupying a central position that represents the new urban image. The Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center's new campus along the Pearl River consists of a 19-story comprehensive medical building primarily for outpatient services, inpatient care, and offices, and an 8-story research, conference, and teaching building primarily housing ophthalmology laboratories. The design's exterior resembles two hands cradling an eye, balancing a pursuit of formal individuality with principles of functional practicality and cost-effectiveness.

The new campus covers a total land area of 12,326 square meters, with a total building area of 82,379 square meters (including underground parking), designed to accommodate 200 beds and 852 parking spaces. Upon completion, it is expected to significantly alleviate the current strain on outpatient services and inpatient care at the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center. Once the Zhu Jiang New Campus is completed, the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center of Sun Yat-sen University will become the largest modern ophthalmic center in the world.

After rigorous selection, the power cables, shielded cables, and audio cables produced by Guangzhou Yuhong Technology Co., Ltd., which are known for their high quality, were ultimately chosen. Guangzhou Yuhong Technology provides support for the hospital's information transmission system, ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's information system.
